Autumn Family Fun Fest At Plainfield Park District Coming Up
Activities on the docket for this year's event include a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, hayrides and a prairie maze.

PLAINFIELD, IL — With the unofficial end of summer after Labor Day, many are ready to start thinking about cooler weather, everything pumpkin-flavored and, possibly, Halloween.
At the Plainfield Park District, staff members are getting ready to host the Autumn Family Fun Fest Sept. 24. The event is scheduled to take place from 1-4 p.m. at Eaton Preserve, 23601 W. 135th St.
On the list of activities this year are family hayrides, pumpkin launching, a prairie maze, pumpkin picking, a petting zoo and inflatables.

It's free to register for the fall-themed event, and spots are filling fast. With enrollment capped at 600, almost 500 people have registered so far.
Although admission is free, not all activities will be. Organizers said inflatables, the pumpkin patch and the petting zoo will require paid tickets.
