Ax Throwing Will Raise Money For PCHS Athletic Booster Club

PLAINFIELD, IL — Want to throw some axes and fundraise for the Plainfield Central High School Athletic Booster Club? Both can be done at the club's "Bury The Hatchet Halloween Social" planned for Oct. 23.

In a creative effort to get students and parents involved, the Athletic Booster Club is hosting its upcoming fundraising event — to raise money for scholarship funds and concession stand updates — at Axe Factor Throwing, located at 13717 S. Route 30 in Plainfield. The event is scheduled to take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Since the event is happening right before Halloween, participants are encouraged to come dressed in costumes — the best one will be crowned winner at 9 p.m. that evening.

Sixty throwing spots are available for the event. For $40 in advance, or $50 at the door, a ticket includes throwing, unlimited food and one soft drink. Guests who want to attend but don't want to participate in the ax throwing can buy a $20 ticket — or $30 at the door — that comes with unlimited food and two soft drinks.

People who are interesting in attending the Halloween social can contact the club's fundraising committee at pchsabcfundraising@gmail.com for the payment link. Guests will also be able to select a throwing time slot through the link.
