Baby Found Unresponsive In Bed After Sibling Rolled Onto Her: Joliet PD
Police said they do not suspect foul play in the incident that happened Thursday morning in Plainfield.
PLAINFIELD, IL — A two-month-old baby died Friday after she was found unresponsive in a bed Thursday morning, according to Joliet police.
Police officers and Joliet Fire Department personnel responded to a residence on Culver Court, which has a Plainfield address, at 9:28 a.m. and paramedics began performing life-saving measures on the baby.
An investigation determined the child had been sleeping in a bed with a 15-year-old sibling when the boy likely fell asleep and accidentally rolled over onto the baby. An older sibling found the baby unresponsive in bed and called 911, Sergeant Dwayne English told Patch.
