Baggs leads Tigers to Victory

Plainfield North Tigers defeats Plainfield East Bengals to open SPC Conference Play.

On the strength of junior Jack Baggs 731 series, Plainfield North (2-0) easily defeated Plainfield East by a final of 3047-2841.
The Bengals of East captured the first game by a score of 935-900 to win the first 2 points of the conference season, but North regained its composure along with some freshman energy to win the final two games by scores of 1062-953 and 1085-953.
Baggs led the way with games of 235, 259 and 237 for a career high 731. Ryan Carlson added 594, but it was freshmen Bryan Mulcahy and Tyler Wilmoth who moved up to Varsity for games 2 and 3 to gave the Tigers the spark they needed. Wilmoth shot 195 and 202 while Mulcahy added 160 and 235. Winning the final 2 games and series gave the Tigers 8 points on the day.
Steve Volling led the Bengal attack with a solid 634 series on games of 190, 233 and 211.
