Bank Robbed Inside Plainfield Meijer Store

PLAINFIELD, IL — The FBI is investigating a non-takeover bank robbery that happened Saturday afternoon at the U.S. Bank branch inside Meijer, 13251 S. Route 59. An FBI spokesman was tight-lipped offered few details about the robbery, telling the Chicago Sun-Times only that the suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall black male weighing around 130 pounds and wearing a hat.

The robbery happened at around 3:15 p.m., spokesman Garrett Croon said.
