Be On The Lookout - Video Camera Catches 2 young men up to no good in Plainfield. *Call JPD if you know who they are!!

Joliet Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating 2 young men who were captured on security video in the late hours of August 15th, 2017 trespassing on a homeowner's property. A ring doorbell security camera system (www.ring.com) captured 2 young men trespassing on a Plainfield homeowner's property in the late hours of August 15th at 11:14pm.

The 2 men approached the homeowner's front door before spotting the security camera and turning around to walk away. One of the young men got so close to the camera, there is a clearly identifiable image that was able to be generated

The video system alerted the homeowner at the time of the event with a motion alert sent to his cell phone. He did not hear the alert at the time because he was sleep. When he woke up the next morning, a quick glance at his cell phone revealed what had transpired the night before. The system automatically starts recording any time the motion sensor is triggered from the camera. The video is then automatically saved for later viewing.

The homeowner posted the video on Facebook the following day. Since then, it has received over 11 thousand views and over 125 shares. (and counting).
