Black Dog Distillery To Move Into Plainfield's Warehouse District

The distillery will be neighbors with Werk Force Brewing, Ten Drops Coffee and Sable Creek Winery.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Black Dog Distillery has found a new home in the warehouse district only a few blocks away from downtown Plainfield.

Owners announced the news of their new location on Facebook over the weekend, telling followers they've "waited long enough."

The distillery's new address is 14912 S. Eastern Ave., making it neighbors with Werk Force Brewing, Ten Drops Coffee, Warehouse 109, Sable Creek Winery and Lucky Dog Academy.

Brothers James and Kevin Kennedy bought the business from its former management team, which ran the distillery in an unincorporated Wheatland Township space with a Plainfield address.

"This will be much more visible," Mayor John Argoudelis told Patch. "It's got a very cool vibe."

Owners said they don't have an opening date set yet but hope to begin building out the space next month.

"Now, [it's] time to create a truly unique experience that complements the many amazing options in the downtown Plainfield area," owners said in the announcement.
