49ers Key Players

Key guys for San Fran.

1. Colin Kaepernick- There were many questions surrounding
the 49ers when Jim Harbaugh made the decision to stick with Colin despite the
fact Alex Smith was healthy again. He made the right choice, look at where the
49ers are at now. He brings such an added dimension to this 49ers offense. He
spreads the ball out to everyone, Michael Crabtree has become his point of
emphasis since taking over and he’s known for his mobility and scrambling. He’s
at his best making plays with his feet.

2. Frank Gore- The 49ers averaged 155 yards per game when it
came to rushing the football. Frank is a big reason why. He’s one of the best
backs in the game right now and can really control the line of scrimmage when he
runs the ball. He’s had another strong season and does everything the 49ers ask
him to do. He’s not a flashy player, he’s a downhill runner.

3. Vernon Davis- He’s a top 3 Tight End. He’s almost like a
Wide Receiver of some sorts. He can line up like one and he likes when guys try
to jam him off his route because he’s a big guy and he can be physical back. He
reminds me so much of Shannon Sharpe with the quickness, size, good hands and
good field vision. He opens up the middle of the field and has really been a go
to guy in this 49ers offense. He’s capable of catching 6-8 passes and can
average 120 yards or more receiving. You must account for him if you’re a
defender.

4. Patrick Willis- You better have game if you have two
first names. Patrick is a prime example of that. He’s the closest thing to the
man he’ll be facing on Sunday in Ray Lewis. He’s an excellent run stopper, a
great leader and all around defensive player and will be for these next few
years. He’s one of the reasons why the 49ers defense has been what it’s been the
last two seasons. He brings a lot to the table and always has these guys ready
to play. Sunday won’t be any different.

5. Aldon Smith- He reminds me of a quicker Michael Strahan.
He’s emerged into one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He made a living
off getting to the QB this year recording 17.5 sacks. He can line up on the D
line, play the linebacker position, drop back in coverage and of course rush the
passer. He will only get better and his impact as a pass rusher makes everyone
around him better and rushes the passer as well.

6. Justin Smith- Many think he’s a new comer to the league.
He’s been in the league for 11 years. Justin is the most underrated player in
the National Football League. He’s the other half of the Smith tandem with Aldon
and both specialize in getting to the passer. Lately, he’s been limited with a
triceps injury and Justin is another spark for that defense.
