Blue Christmas

We understand that being joyful can be hard work. This Sunday, join us for a Blue Christmas service - a time and a place where it is okay to acknowledge the pain you feel.

Some are proclaiming it the “most wonderful time of the year,” but for many of us the holiday season is bittersweet, difficult, even painful. Whether it be because of the loss of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, financial or job concerns, illness, or overwhelming stress, some years being joyful can be hard work.

You are invited to a safe place where you do not have to pretend; where you can come as you are, carrying your worry, pain, fear, and sadness.

Recognizing the heaviness and grief that this season often carries, this Blue Christmas Service is ultimately one of healing and hope.  Join us as we light candles, participate in quiet reflection, share stories, and experience the power and grace of music and prayer.
