Headlines Entering 2013 NFL Season.

My storylines entering the 2013 NFL campaign. Enjoy.

Last night, the 2013 NFL schedules for the upcoming season was released. We knew who everyone was playing but we didn't know when. The schedule releasing is Christmas day for the big time football fan and as analysts, we get to dive in and see who's playing who, who's playing where and what's catching our eye. Below are some of my storylines that caught my eye as the season is a good five months away. Enjoy!

1. Ravens to open season on road in Denver- The last time these two teams played, we witnessed an instant classic right before our very eyes. It's one thing to have a overtime game in the playoffs when your playing for so much more but when a double overtime game takes place, it calls for great football. That's exactly what happened when the Ravens and Broncos met in January. Peyton turned the ball over and Baltimore capitalized on that mistake and kicked a field goal to eliminate the hottest team in football in the Denver Broncos. September 5th, revenge will be on the mind as Denver welcomes in the Super Bowl champs to kick off the 2013 season.

2. Packers and 49ers square off in week one- They opened up against each other last season in Green Bay in week 1 and they also met in the playoffs as well with San Fran winning both match ups. The 49ers are the clear cut favorites to win the NFC for the second straight year and they’ve added two key pieces on both sides of the football. Nnamdi Asmougha looks to return back to his shut down days as a corner and the Niners also acquired Anquan Boldin which will give them more of an added dimension on the outside for Kap. The Packers begin life without Donald Driver and Greg Jennings but they still have the best QB in the game as we speak. Will the Packers seek revenge?

3. Peyton and Eli to meet in week 2- Peyton has had the best of his little brother in the previous two meetings against one another and Eli has proved he’s an elite QB right now as we speak. Denver will look to continue it’s winning ways and the Giants will look to get a big win to start the young season. Can Eli get to big bro?

4. Ed Reed to return to Baltimore- We all thought Ed Reed would be a Raven for life but not everything lasts forever though, right? This offseason, Ed signed with the Houston Texans to improve their secondary. For the first time in his career, he will be playing in Baltimore as a visitor this time.

5. Andy Reid returns to Philly- After a rocky 14 year stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, Andy Reid was fired after a 4-12 campaign in 2012. Just a week after being fired, Andy was hired as the Kansas City Chiefs head coach. Reid will lead his new team into battle against his old team in week 3.

6. Peyton returns to Indy- We never thought we’d envision this: Peyton playing against the Colts. He’s one we thought would be a Colt for life but this is also a business as well. Peyton was released by the Colts in 2012 after a 14 year career that made the state of Indiana a football state of some sorts when we all know the state of Indiana is primarily basketball. Peyton will lead his Broncos into the “house that Peyton built” otherwise known as Lucas Oil Stadium.
