NFC Divisional Playoff
Packers at 49ers
Packers: We all knew Green Bay wouldn’t be the same team from a year ago. It’s hard to go 15-1 in back to back seasons. The Packers haven’t necessarily looked the greatest at times this year but they won their division for the second straight year and that’s all that matters. One thing I’ve noticed about the Packers is they’ve played with a chip on their shoulder as of late. They should really have a first round bye when you think about it and they don’t have one because of a bad call on a Monday night in Seattle. Last week was the best I’ve seen this defense look all season. They contained Adrian Peterson and held him to under 100 yards rushing. Now, the Packers must prepare for the 49ers and they have a different QB in Kaepernick. The biggest key for them is to make Kaepernick beat them by dropping back and making him pass the football.

49ers: For the second straight year under Jim Harbaugh, they have another first bye. The 49ers are the most physical team in the league. They want to run the ball, control the line of scrimmage, win the time of possession battle and playing dominating defense but as the season was coming to an end, this defense was exposed. Teams were taking more shots down the field on them, spreading their defense out and keeping them on the field and that’s exactly the key to getting the best of a physical defense. The last time San Fran played Green Bay was in week 1 and they went into Lambeau and got a big win to start the season. Now, a whole lot more is on the line. You win, you’re in the NFC Title game for the second straight year. Frank Gore must be established early. Keep Aaron on the sideline.
Prediction: Both teams are much different from their week 1 meeting. San Fran had Alex Smith starting and after that win, many considered the 49ers the team to beat in the NFC. Green Bay looked flat and out of rhythm and that fatigue they showed in their playoff loss to the Giants showed in that game as well. Now, the Packers are healthier and San Fran has a new Quarterback. I like the Packers to get their revenge and get a win. Packers 29 49ers 21
