Ravens Key Players

Some key players for Baltimore entering the Super Bowl. Enjoy.

1. Joe Flacco- Remember last off season when he stated he
was an elite quarterback? Well after back to back wins over Peyton Manning and
Tom Brady in the playoffs, a lot of people are starting to view #5 a lot
different now. He’s matured this season as a passer and he really grew up in
Denver in that playoff game. His best asset is the deep ball and spreading the
ball around. Now, he has one more game to prove he’s an elite quarterback in the
National Football League.

2. Ray Rice- He’s a top 5 running back and he brings a lot
to a team not normally known for offense. He’s quick, can run in between the
tackles and out and he’s excellent catching the ball out the backfield. You can
even line him up on the line as a receiver so he displays much versatility for
the Ravens. He’s the engine that makes this Ravens offense go and when he’s
putting up big numbers whether it’s running the ball or catching it out of the
backfield, the Ravens win football games.

3. Anquan Boldin- He’s manned up in these playoffs. He’s
been to a Super Bowl before and this postseason, he’s stepped up and made plays
when he knows that he’s had too. Anquan is a physical Wide Receiver with a good
sense for the football. He has good hands, quick feet and for a guy his size,
he’s extremely productive in the flat. I honestly think that’s when he’s at his
best.

4. Ray Lewis- He’s calling it a career after this season.
Now he’s trying to go out on top a champion. Ray Lewis has sparked this whole
team, especially the defense. At age 37, he led the NFL in tackles during the
postseason. Ray was supposed to be gone for the year after tearing his triceps
but he came back and has his Ravens in position to win their second Super Bowl
title. Will he go out a champion?

5. Terrell Suggs- He’s the Ravens best defensive player.
Sizzle wasn’t supposed to come back until late November after tearing his
Achilles during the offseason. He stated he’d be back and he hasn’t looked as
dominant as he did in 2011 which earned him defensive player of the year but his
impact on this Ravens pass rush was back once he stepped on the field. He brings
so much versatility to the table. He can line up as a Defensive Lineman and will
have the edge over a slower offensive linemen.

6. Haloti Ngata- He’s the force up front for this Ravens D
Line. At 6’4" and weighing in at 320 pounds, he displays such quickness for a man
his size. He’s a phenomenal run stopper. He plugs up the gaps and is a great
tackler as well. He can also shift out and defend a running back in the flat if
he had too. I’ve seen him do it. He’s just as important to this Ravens defense
as Ray, Sizzle and Ed are.
