The Story of Jesus in other words...

Truly a revered Prophet, this is the time to celebrate Jesus

Not many have heard the claim that Jesus (peace be upon him) survived crucifixion. This belief is presented by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community that he did not die on the cross. Jesus (pbuh) was put on the cross just before the Sabbath eve. According to Jewish law the bodies had to be taken down at sunset. After crucifixion, a big dust storm blackened the sky putting uncertainty in the Jews’ hearts that the eve of Sabbath had started.  The soldiers thus took down the prisoners breaking their legs, but Jesus’ legs were not broken because he had swooned and seemed dead. When the soldiers pierced his side with a spear blood and water gushed out (John 19:34) which indicated that his heart was beating, because blood does not gush out of a dead body. Thus, Jesus was still alive but unconscious.  Pilate handed over the body to Joseph of Arimathea who put it in an airy sepulchre.  His followers secretly prepared and applied ointment to Jesus’ wounds, known as the Ointment of Jesus.  He regained consciousness. Later he was seen eating fish with his disciples, and showed them his wounds from the nails on the cross. (Luke 24:37-43)

Eventually, he travelled east to escape the Roman authorities. Jesus not only survived crucifixion but traveled towards Galilee (Mark 16:7) to his onward journey to Afghanistan and Kashmir in search of the ten lost tribes of Israel to fulfill his mission given by God. He died a natural death at age 120. He is buried in Srinagar, Kashmir.
