Week 8 Wrap-Up

Here I am wrapping up the week that was — hope to have more as the week rolls along. Have a great day and don't hesitate to send me your football questions. dailyblitz61@gmail.com

1. Falcons remain undefeated with big win in Philadelphia-
Andy Reid entered this game with a 13-0 mark after a bye week, now it’s 13-1.
Sunday afternoon was the best I’ve seen the Falcons play all season long. When
they had the Eagles down, they kept the Eagles down. Matt Ryan continued his
stellar play and more questions just continue to surround the Philadelphia
Eagles.

2. Giants win in JerryWorld- It’s safe to say this was a
game of two halves. The Giants thoroughly dominated the first half of this game
by forcing three Tony Romo interceptions and led by as much as 23 points in the
second quarter. Let’s fast forward to the second half when Dallas started to get
it together. Romo looked like a completely different guy and Jason Witten had
his best game of the season catching 18 passes as the Cowboys came back to take
a one point lead. The Giants would end up coming back to take a 29-24 lead and
there was a very controversial call at the end of this one. Romo threw a TD pass
to Dez Bryant and he looked to be in but the replay showed he was out. Giants
take control of the NFC East at 6-2.

3. Patriots win big in London- The Rams scored early in this
one and that was the only time they scored. Sunday was the best the Patriots
have looked all season long. Brady was Brady throwing four TD passes and that
defense finally showed up holding the Rams to only 7 points. The Patriots enter
their bye week at 5-3 and atop the AFC East.

4. Bears squeak by Panthers- The Bears offense have more
questions surrounding them and that offensive line was terrible on Sunday
allowing six sacks. Carolina is a tough team and they’ve shown that despite
their record. The Panthers dominated a great portion of this game and despite
the fact the Bears offense didn’t look all that great, that defense showed up
and made plays when they had too and they came back to win 23-22.

5. Steelers get the best of RGIII- The Steelers have always
had success against young rookie QB’s and they knew they’d have their hands full
with Robert Griffin III. Despite those horrid throwback uniforms they wore, the
Steelers looked good making Griffin’s day a nightmare. Sacking him, keeping him
in pocket and making him throw the ball, the Steelers won this one big as they
begin to make a push in the AFC North.
