What's in the INDOOR AIR of your home?

What does the average homes indoor air quality consists of?

The Average residential homes indoor air consits of the following.

30-40% Particulates (Dust, dander, Pollen etc..)
30-40% Microbial ( Viruses, bacteria, mold )
20-30% VOC's Vol ital organic compounds (off gassing from stains
aerosol cans, carpets etc..)

New Construction homes will have more VOC's because everything is new and needs to dissipate over time. New carpet, stain, paint, etc...  Average time needed for Voc's to dissipate is 3-5 years.

There are accessories available to treat your homes indoor air quality. My next blog will inform you how to treat these issues with a forced air heating and cooling system.
