Brooks Nails It re: The Idiocracy That is the GOP

Editorial by David Brooks at NYT on how a self-serving few are killing true and good conservatism in America

I don’t often agree with David Brooks, but his piece from yesterday couldn’t be more right.

We are all in this together--all of us, with all our wild assortment of ideas and beliefs and needs and skills--and this country needs the vital mix of of all of those things from both major political parties (and, then some) for us to find the best way to move in a direction that is good for as many as possible. Of the people and by the people means all of the people, kids. It’s called “compromise” and it’s a fantastic tool that successful adults use every day.
