Chef Lamar Moore & Coleman All Natural Meats Fire Up the Tailgate at Woodman's Plainfield

Coleman All Natural Meats will celebrate the grand opening of Woodman’s Food Market in Plainfield, IL (11751 S. Route 59) with a community tailgate on Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, family-friendly event brings together bold tailgate flavors, hometown school spirit and community giving at Woodman’s new 243,000-square-foot store—approximately the size of four football fields.

Guests can visit the Coleman tailgate area located in the parking lot for grilled samples prepared by Award-winning Chef Lamar Moore, who will serve up Coleman ribs and kielbasa throughout the event. Guests can also enter for a chance to win a Coleman tailgating package and other giveaways while supplies last. Mel Coleman Jr., a fifth-generation Coleman family member will also be on hand to share more about the family brand’s 150-year history.

The event will include a school spirit challenge benefiting booster organizations connected to Plainfield East and Plainfield North high schools. Guests will receive a token to vote for a participating school and the school receiving the most votes will earn $1,000 for its booster organization, while each of the other participating schools will receive $250. School participation may include mascots, cheerleaders, booster representatives or other approved student groups, subject to school confirmation and district requirements.
