Candidates for WCB11 Political Bedfellows of Garrett Peck

Garrett Peck is behind a campaign tool that Kathy Havel and Julie Berkowicz are using in the race for the Will County Board’s seats in District 11. One of his several “Fakebook” pages is the page supporting these gals, “Hard Working Taxpayers of Naperville”. This is a freak show. Peck talks like he supports honesty via a consistently dishonest practice, and these two are in it with him.

Peck does not live anywhere near WCD 11 but is trying to spread his political hackery into Naperville and rebuild the limited political capital he squandered through his own misconduct. This is just a little bit about Garrett Peck and his non-stop express to failure and derision, but feel free to Google for more:

He’s a former Plainfield Village Trustee voted out by a margin of hundreds of votes due to his corrupt reputation.

Peck was found guilty of violating Illinois labor laws to victimize “hard working taxpayers”, which further cost hard working taxpayers thousands in legal fees and penalties.

Peck cost taxpayers thousands in fees and settlement payments in an EEOC based case where he discriminated against a female employee (to give a patronage job to a crony of his).

Peck was under investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies for his conduct as Executive Director of the Plainfield Park District. That job was obtained through crony patronage and included perks like college tuition, a car, a 6-figure salary with automatic, non-merit based annual increases of 4% to 6%. I think it’s fair to say that Peck arranged through dirty politics to try to rip-off “hard working taxpayers”. He burned through about one million taxpayer dollars there in just eight months.

Less than two weeks after being hired as the PTPD Executive Director, Peck rushed through the purchase of a new Jeep and put his own name on the title.

Peck has repeatedly threatened hard working taxpayers who use their 1st Amendment right to speak critically of his actions with arrest, lawsuits, etc. See, only select hard working taxpayers are given respect in his corrupt world view.

Garrett Peck lied in every one of his political campaigns about being an Air Force Veteran. He was discharged after just two weeks of basic, around the time Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell came into law, and his decade long effort to lie about his service for political gain created speculation on a connection.

He used pictures of someone else’s children as his own, as props in campaign literature. Peck was divorced after just six years of marriage and there are police reports on record that seem to indicate domestic abuse may have been in the mix.

Peck posted on his public FB page as a Trustee, before he recycled it into the laughable “Plainfield Village News Network” page, a low-rent porn clip, featuring bestiality, that showed women being victimized and demeaned by men.

Peck has other Facebook posts wherein he is warring with Plainfield Township Republicans (who, frankly, deserve what they’re getting because none of them had the courage or brains to fix their problem when they should have—and they still don’t).

Peck has used one of his other phony Facebook entities, where he was too dumb to scrub identifying details, to strike out against PVB Trustee and former ally Margie Bonuchi, all while shining up men like PVB Trustees Ed O’Rourke and Brian Wojowski (fellas, my advice is run far, run fast—oh, and that advice goes for Trustee Larson, too). The former ally part is important and Havel and Berkowicz should pay attention—this could happen to you.

How could Havel and Berkowicz not be aware of all of this history? As Peck so often says, it’s public record and everyone loves transparency. What does it say about candidates Havel and Berkowicz that this is the guy they sign up with to mount a campaign to represent taxpayers in the 11th? It says they either aren’t very smart or are very politically craven, or both. They’ve shown nothing positive to recommend themselves to voters. Their campaign is not just lazy, it’s low and vindictive and aided by a guy who would crawl to you with a dead rat in his teeth if there was 20 bucks in it for him. Havel and Berkowicz condone it all, judging by their complicity.

There are two big lies that Peck seems to have been able to sell Havel and Berkowicz—and I don’t know if it would be worse if it turns out they’re dumb enough to believe him or that they just don’t care because of their personal ambition:

• That he’s so savvy at this hidden campaigning and “tech” and “social media” that no one will ever find out who’s hiding under their skirts. Well, Peek-a-Boo, I see you.
• That he’s pro-woman. No. Garrett Peck has always had a serious psychological problem with any woman if he can’t use, intimidate, and disrespect her. He’s manically jealous of anyone who does better than him, but he particularly comes out against women because there is something wrong with him that makes him rabidly sexist.

It looks like Kathy Havel and Julie Berkowicz are fine with having him on their team.

To every politician out there, get this through your heads: you so much as smile at or shake hands with Garrett Peck and you look like the Nazi character at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" because of the political poison that he oozes. No matter what he tells you about how clever he is, he cannot keep that negative association secret. Which means Havel and Berkowicz—you’re on deck to be his latest failures.

I think the right answer for voters in Will County Board District 11 is to vote for Hart and Maher, instead. The hard working taxpayers should stand for what's decent and right for them.
