Cheryl Teichmiller, 75, of Plainfield

Cheryl M. Teichmiller, aged 75, passed away on January 23, 2025. Born on August 16, 1949, in Elgin, IL, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Stuart Beardsley and Pearl Beardsley (nee Hietala).

Cheryl attended Naperville High School and later graduated from The Art Institute of Chicago in 1971 with a degree in Art. She went on to have a successful career in type design and printing.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Alan W. Teichmiller, sons James S. and David M., grandchildren Elsa, Aidric and Erik, and sister Diane James (nee Beardsley). She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Richard Beardsley and Sandra Conorman (nee Beardsley).

Cheryl’s first love was always her family and was an enthusiastic supporter of her children and grandchildren and all of their activities. When her sons were active in soccer, she designed the logo that the Plainfield Soccer Association used for many years.

Cheryl was a very sweet person will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 12:00 Noon until 1:30 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. A Celebration of Cheryl's life and sharing of memories will follow at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. In keeping with Cheryl's relaxed style, everyone is invited to dress casually.
