Children's Musician Laura Doherty to Acoustically Rock Library

If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids when they’re out of school on the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, then head on over to the Plainfield Public Library.

Children and their families are invited to the Library for a free concert by Chicago-based musician Laura Doherty on Monday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. Doherty will acoustically rock your world with breezy folk-pop tunes.

Doherty recorded her first of five albums in 2009. Her most recent album, "High Five," was recorded in 2018. It explores the themes of family, friendship and childhood. Her albums have won several Parents’ Choice awards, and she has performed hundreds of shows at premier venues and festivals all over the country.

The Plainfield Public Library is located at 15025 S. Illinois St. in downtown Plainfield. Registration for the free event is required.
