Community Invited to Folk Music Program at the Plainfield Library April 14

The community is invited to a folk music program featuring Adam Miller on Thursday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Plainfield Library.

The community is invited to a folk music program featuring Adam Miller on Thursday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Plainfield Public Library, located at 15025 S. Illinois St. in downtown Plainfield.

Attendees will get the chance to sing along with traditional folk songs originated in Illinois. History will come alive with the storytelling lyrics about bootleggers, campaign songs, steamboats and moving westward.

This program is put on as a part of The Great Read. This year’s theme is “Made in Illinois.”
