COVID-19 Vaccines Available At Al Aqsa Communty Center Friday

Those interested can visit the vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and get either the Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Illinois Department of Public Health and Plainfield's Al Aqsa Community Center are teaming up for a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Whoever is interested in getting a vaccine can visit the center, located at 17940 Bronk Road, and choose between the Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The Pfizer booster shot is also available in accordance to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In Illinois, people who are 65 and older and have an underlying medical condition or work in a high-risk environment may be able to get the booster shot, Patch reported. The CDC formally recommended the third dose Sept. 24.
