Illinois State Police are investigating.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Four people were taken to area hospitals following a three-vehicle crash on Route 30 near 119th Street in Plainfield just after 10 a.m. Thursday. Plainfield Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton said a westbound sedan struck another sedan, causing it to spin around and hit a van head-on.
Police said one man in the van was transported to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora. A total of three male occupants from both sedans were taken to Edward and Copley hospitals.
Stratton said none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. Route 30 was shut down near the crash scene for about 30 minutes, he said.
