Cruise Nights Return To Downtown Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, IL — The warm weather is here, and the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce will once again host its popular Cruise Nights for car enthusiasts in downtown Plainfield. This year's events are from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays (except July 3) in June through August.

Here's a look at this year's schedule and sponsors:

• June 5: Season Opener (Webb Chevy, Ken Overbey)
• June 12: Camaro Night (Webb Chevy, School of Rock)
• June 19: Street Rod Night (D'Arcy)
• June 26: Ford Night (Rod Baker Ford, Ken Overbey)
• July 3: No Cruise Night
• July 10: Import Night (Premiere Motorsports)
• July 17: Classic Couples/Sedans (Webb Chevy, School of Rock)
• July 24: Mopar Night (Premiere Motorsports)
• July 31: Pontiac Night (Premiere Motorsports, Ken Overbey)
• Aug. 7: Corvette Night (Webb Chevy, National Night Out)
• Aug. 14: Mustang Night (Rod Baker Ford, Ken Overbey)
• Aug. 21 Final Cruise Night (Webb Chevy, School of Rock)

This year, a new feature — the Hawg Pen — will also be open from 5 to 9 p.m. on Des Plaines Street near the old fire house. Sponsored by Conrad's Harley Davidson.
