Culinary Arts Students Prepare Upcoming Thanksgiving Feast

PLAINFIELD, IL — Culinary arts students at the Wilco Area Career Center will be cooking up a Thanksgiving feast for the Autumn Harvest Buffet Nov. 17. Reservations for anyone interested are still open, but only for two more days.

Lunch will be served at the Wilco dining room, 500 Wilco Boulevard in Romeoville, starting at 11 a.m. Tickets cost $12 and include the traditional holiday fixings.

On behalf of District 202 Wilco culinary students, Plainfield School District 202 staff thanked the public for their support in an email Monday.

There can be up to 88 people in attendance, and organizers said that due to overwhelming attendance, they're requesting guests make reservations. Groups aren't guaranteed to sit together, but accommodations will be made as much as possible, organizers said in the event's description.

Reservations for the Thanksgiving meal can be made by contacting Anita Baxter at 815-838-6941 through Wednesday.
