D202 Offers Pre-School Screening for 3-4-Year-Olds

Eligible children demonstrating some developmental delays can take part in a free pre-school program in the 2015-16 school year.

The Bonnie McBeth Learning Center, District 202’s preschool will screen 3 and 4-year-old children who reside in District 202, for the 2015-16 “Preschool for All” state preschool program.

Preschool for All is a state-funded program serving children who demonstrate some delays in areas of development and have certain risk factors that may impact academic success.

Eligible children will take part in a free educational program for five days a week during the 2015-16 school year.

The screenings are planned for early June, and will be done at the school, 15730 Howard Street, Plainfield. There is no charge for the screening. However proof of residency and a certified birth certificate must be provided at the screening.

Children must be three years old before September 1, 2015 to qualify for screening.
