DanceQuest presents Fairy Doll Ballet

DanceQuest of Plainfield celebrates 10 years of teaching students with the production of the classical ballet “Fairy Doll”. This is a fun, whimsical story of a toy shop owner and his dolls that magically come to life when he locks up at night. Imagine life-size dolls dancing beautifully across the stage amidst a gorgeous set.

Our Fairy Doll ballet will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Pfeiffer Hall on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, located at 310 E Benton Ave, Naperville, IL 60540.

The show director, Jelena Mitchell, has an extensive ballet background in training, performing, teaching, and choreographing. She began her training at the Josip Slavenski Music School in Serbia, as well as the Ballet School of Novi Sad. She performed as a classical ballet dancer with the Serbian National Theatre before coming to the United States to achieve her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida. She and our cast of thirty five DanceQuest students are already hard at work rehearsing and preparing for the show.

DanceQuest of Plainfield is located at 14511 S Van Dyke Road in Plainfield and serves not only Plainfield but the surrounding areas of Naperville, Aurora, Oswego, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Shorewood, Joliet, and more. Our ten year history of training students with solid technique by a wonderfully adept staff shows in this performance. Our students have auditioned and been accepted to many summer intensives including American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, Rivernorth Dance, and Ruth Page.

Emily Speedy, the DanceQuest Director, says this show is not one to miss! She hopes to inspire young dancers as well as please audiences of all ages with this beautifully fun and entertaining ballet.
