Route 126 Reopens After Closure At Train Tracks: Plainfield PD

Police were encouraging drivers to avoid the area while the road was closed.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Route 126 has reopened after it was closed Thursday morning at the train tracks east of Route 59, Plainfield police said.

Just before 9 a.m., police said in an alert on Facebook that drivers should expect major delays in the area. Roughly 15 minutes later, they posted an update to say the problem was resolved.

Police encouraged drivers to avoid the area while the road was closed.
