Denise A. Weller, of Plainfield

Longtime member of Plainfield Central PTO, Girl Scouts and Plainfield Volunteer Firefighters Women's Assoc. passes away at the age of 63.

Denise A. Weller, age 63, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 1975, passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2025. She was born on March 13, 1961 in Chicago, IL.

Denise is survived by her best friend and beloved husband of 41 years, Lowell J. Weller, Sr.; her loving children, Jimmy (Stacey) Weller of Joliet, IL, and Amanda (Nate) Molina of Hebron, IN; her cherished grandchildren, Allison and Hunter Molina, Connor and Jordan Weller; her dear siblings, Mike (Marge) Vaught, Karen (the late Kenny) Watson, Patricia (Michael) Szalko, Diane Wilkinson, Victoria (Dwayne) Mentgen, John Paul Vaught; her cherished mother-in-law, Judi Lantz; her siblings-in-law, Jerry (Becky) Weller, Matthew (Lisa) Weller, and Jason (Melanie) Weller; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Amalia Vaught; her father-in-law, Gerald Vernon Weller, Sr.; her sister-in-law, Hazel (Andrew) McCormick and brother-in-law, Robert Deoca.

Denise was a graduate of Plainfield High School, Class of 1979. She became involved in Plainfield Central School Parent Teacher Organization and dedicated many years to the group. Denise truly enjoyed the time she spent as a Girl Scout Leader in the Plainfield area. She was also a longtime member of the Plainfield Volunteer Firefighters Women’s Association and treasured the friendships made there. Denise will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield.
