District 202, PASS Reach Tentative 3-Year Contract

Details of the proposed new contract will be released after both sides have ratified the new deal.

PLAINFIELD, IL — District 202 and the Plainfield Association of Support Staff (PASS) reached tentative agreement on a three-year contract Thursday, according to a news release from the district.

The tentative new pact would be retroactive to July 1. Details of the proposed new contract will be released after both sides have ratified the new deal.

PASS this year represents about 943 non-certified staff including custodians, grounds and maintenance workers, special education teaching assistants and most secretaries.

PASS plans to vote on the proposed contract in mid-September. The District 202 Board of Education will vote after PASS membership votes. The first regular Board meeting after mid- September is Sept. 26.

PASS and District 202 agreed to a one-year contract in December 2015, retroactive to July 1, 2015. Negotiations for a new contract started in March 2016.
