District 202 Schools to Hold Madrigal Dinners

PLAINFIELD, IL — The District 202 community is invited to enjoy the magic of all four high schools’ music departments as they present their annual holiday Madrigal dinners.

PLAINFIELD HIGH SCHOOL – CENTRAL CAMPUS

The Plainfield High School-Central Campus (PHSCC) choir department will host its 38th annual Madrigal Dinner at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17 in the PHSCC auditorium, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield.

The event will feature an evening of holiday merriment from the Madrigal singers, ladies, actors and instrumentalists, celebrating the joy and merriment of the joyous season.

PLAINFIELD SOUTH

The Plainfield South High School choir department will present its 16th annual Madrigal Dinner at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 and Saturday, Dec. 3 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 in the PSHS cafeteria, 7800 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.

All dinner shows are sold out, but a limited supply of “Pauper’s tickets” are available for $5 at the door for all shows. Pauper’s tickets include admission to the show only. Please contact the PSHS choir office for information 815-577-5655.

PLAINFIELD NORTH

The Plainfield North High School music department will hold its annual Madrigal Dinner at noon and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the school, 12005 South 248th Street, Plainfield.

The Madrigal Dinner will feature an evening filled with food, music and revelry with performances by the PNHS Northern Voices, Bella Voce, as well as numerous actresses, actors and instrumentalists who will transport attendees back to the Renaissance.

PLAINFIELD EAST

The Plainfield East High School music department will host its 9th annual Madrigal Dinner at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 and Sunday, Dec. 4 at the school, 12001 S. Naperville Road, Plainfield.

Tickets are $20 and include a delicious multi-course meal and a beautiful afternoon full of music, fun, and overall revelry.

This Renaissance-inspired dinner theater involves the PEHS Madrigal Singers, Queen’s Court, and Ladies in Waiting, Madrigal Brass, and Madrigal Recorders.

The final dress rehearsal at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 will be open for District 202 Staff, families, and friends again this year for free.
