District Announces Dates For Students to Retrieve, Return Items

During the week of May 18, school staff will bring items to parent's car.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield School District 202 sent out a release informing students about picking up personal items from school and returning school items, while in-person classes remain suspended.

Students at all levels will pick up personal items from school the week of May 18.

For elementary students, parents will pick up their items through an alphabetical process, by appointment. School staff will bring items to the parent’s car. Registration materials will be included with the student’s personal items.

Middle School staff will sort, bag and label student locker items and put registration materials and yearbooks in students’ bags. Middle School parents will pick up their student’s items through an alphabetical process, by appointment.

Seniors can retrieve personal items on May 13 by request through assistant principal for operations.

Students will return all curriculum materials, library books, computers etc. to their home school the week of May 18. Seniors will return any textbooks or novels, school district laptop, or assistive tech device that belong to District 202 on May 13 when they pick up their cap and gown packet. Students will hand them out of the car window before receiving their packet.

Schools will contact families with more details.
