Following the resignation this week of Commissioner Janet Silosky, the Plainfield Park District has established a procedure for seeking someone to fill the post.
Information packets for those interested in applying to fill the Board vacancy will be available for pick-up beginning on Monday, May 18, 2015 during regular business hours at the Park District’s Recreation/Administration Center, at 23729 West Ottawa Street in Plainfield. Applicants are required to be a qualified, registered voter, a resident of the Plainfield Park District, and must not be a convicted felon.
All applications must be returned to the Park District offices by noon on June 8, 2015 and the Board of Commissioners will then decide how to proceed to select a candidate. The person selected will fill the post of Commissioner until the election in April 2017.
