Donation honors long-time village employee Judy Bitterman-Gettys

On November 16, Don Gettys of Plainfield presented a check for $5,143.75 to the Edward Foundation in memory of his wife, Judy Bitterman-Gettys, a long-time employee of the Village of Plainfield who passed away in March. Much of her care took place at the Edward Cancer Center in Plainfield.

The donation, to be used for patient programs and services at the Edward Cancer Center in Plainfield, was the result of a fundraiser held by the Gettys family and friends. Anyone wishing to contribute in Judy’s memory can direct a gift to the Edward Cancer Center in Plainfield in her name and send to the Edward Foundation, 801 S. Washington St., Naperville, IL, 60540.
