Drive-Thru Cannabis Could Be Coming To Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, IL — Recreational cannabis dispensary Terrabis announced Monday that it is now serving registered medical users in Plainfield, with plans for a drive-thru in the village also underway.

In addition to its Plainfield location, the company is serving cannabis patients at its dispensaries in Woodstock, Dixon and Grayville, with the Mundelein location set to join Terrabis’s medical program pending local approvals. The expansion follows new state rules allowing more dispensaries to serve registered patients.

"We built this company serving medical patients, and that has never stopped being the core of what we do,” CEO Dan Ambrosino said in a news release. “Patients aren't just shopping, they're managing a condition.”

While a Plainfield drive-thru is planned pending local and state approvals, Terrabis already offers the service in Woodstock and Grayville, and it is working with Dixon and state officials to add one there, too.

Terrabis got its start as a medical operator in Missouri in 2021. It opened its Plainfield recreational facility in late 2024 at 16020 S. Route 59 in the former Hardee’s.
