Easter At Plainfield Park District: See What's Planned

PLAINFIELD, IL — A slew of Easter-related activities are on the docket at the Plainfield Park District this season.

The activities range from kid-friendly events to others adults will enjoy. One is even dog-centric because dogs need to have fun, too. Here's a look at what's in store.

• Doggie Egg Hunt
  • What: Furry friends are invited to hunt for colorful eggs filled with treats. Plus, some eggs are filled with special prizes.
  • When: Noon to 12:30 p.m. March 25
  • Where: Clow-Stephens Park, 16650 S. Lily Cache Road
• Flashlight Egg Hunt
  • What: Kids — split between two groups: one for ages 7-9 and another for ages 10-12 —will have the opportunity to hunt for eggs using flashlights at night.
  • When: March 31
  • Where: Bott Community Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road
• Bunny Breakfast
  • What: Children have the opportunity to have breakfast and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.
  • When: 9 a.m. April 1
  • Where: Prairie Activity and Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road
• Egg Hunt
  • What: Colorful eggs will be scattered throughout a park. Plus, the Easter Bunny will visit for photo opportunities.
  • When: April 1
  • Where: Bott Community Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road
• Bunny Hop Fun Run
  • What: Anyone, regardless of age, can participate by walking, running or strolling through the one-mile-long course. Participants receive a swag bag and shirt by registering.
  • When: 9 a.m. April 2
  • Where: Bott Community Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road
• Adult Egg Hunt
  • What: Adults ages 21 and older can hunt for eggs, indulge in pizza and soda, listen to music, and enter raffles.
  • When: 6-8 p.m. April 21
  • Where: Prairie Activity and Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road
