Dr. Sugrue earned his medical degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and fellowship at John H. Stroger, Jr., Hospital of Cook County. Dr. Sugrue is a member of the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Dr. Sugrue’s clinical interests include abdominal surgery, colon cancer screening, colon surgery, da Vinci robotics, laparoscopy, gallbladder surgery, general surgery, hernia surgery, minimally invasive surgery and rectal problems.
