See What Easter Activities Plainfield Park District Has Planned

An adult egg hunt, a nighttime egg hunt, a one-mile race and Easter Bunny visits are all coming up at the Plainfield Park District.

PLAINFIELD, IL — With Easter less than a month out, it's time to start scoping out options for Easter egg hunts and Easter Bunny visits. The Plainfield Park District has X activities planned this year, including an adult egg hunt.

Flashlight Egg Hunt will return to Plainfield this year. Grab a basket and your flashlight and visit Gregory B. Bott Community Park to hunt for eggs in the dark.

For those looking to get some exercise into the mix, the park district will also hold its Bunny Hop Fun Run, a one-mile run or walk at Bott Park.

There's no shortage of events to choose from. Here is a full look at Easter activities planned at the Plainfield Park District.

Flashlight Egg Hunt

  • When: 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 8
  • Where: Bott Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road
  • What: In-the-dark egg hunt with visits and photo ops with the Easter Bunny. Some eggs will have a gold egg hidden inside. Bring your own flashlight and basket. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Price: Register for $6. No on-site registration is allowed.

Bunny Hop Fun Run

  • When: 9 a.m. April 9
  • Where: Bott Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road
  • What: A one-mile run, walk or stroll open to all ages. Participants will receive a shirt and swag bag that includes an event-themed giveaway, among other things. T-shirt is not guaranteed after March 9.
  • Price: Register for $20

EGG-citing Activities

  • When: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 9
  • Where: Bott Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road
  • What: Colorful eggs will be spread throughout the park's baseball fields, and some eggs will have a golden egg nestled inside. The Easter Bunny will be visiting for photos, and participants will receive a goody bag upon check-in. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Price: Register for $6. No on-site registration is allowed.

Adult Egg Hunt

  • When: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 9
  • Where: Prairie Activity & Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road
  • What: Open to adults 21 and older, the outdoor event will include an egg hunt, pizza, soda and the chance to go home having won prizes via raffle tickets. Participants should bring their own baskets.
  • Price: Register for $20 by April 4.
