Escaped Horse Crashes Into Car In Unincorporated Will County: Sheriff

PLAINFIELD, IL — An escaped horse ran into a car on Wednesday in Wheatland Township, the Will County Sheriff's Office said.

A brown-and-white horse escaped from the fenced-in area of a farm and collided with a car at about 1:15 p.m. on Heggs Road near 119th Street, near Plainfield, a sheriff's spokesperson told Patch.

The driver was traveling southbound on Heggs Road and started to slow down for an approaching stop sign when the animal ran into the passenger side, officials said.

The car was damaged on one side, but the horse appeared to be unharmed, its owner told deputies.

No other injuries were reported, officials said.
