February At Plainfield Park District: See What's Planned

PLAINFIELD, IL — February is generally a cold, snowy month, but the Plainfield Park District is warming it up with activities.

With Valentine's Day on Feb. 14, it's only fair Daddy Daughter Dance and Galentine's Day activities would fall right before and on the day, respectively, celebrating love.

That's not all the Plainfield Park District has to offer February. Here is a look at everything in store.

• Daddy Daughter Dance
  • What: As the title suggests, the dance is an opportunity for dads to treat their "special little girl to a night she will never forget." The night will feature dancing, crafts and refreshments. Admission, which includes one professional photo, is $25 o $27 for residents and non-residents, respectively.
  • When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 10
  • Where: Prairie Activity and Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road
• Galentine's Day Celebration
  • What: A celebration of love for gals and their pals.
  • When: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 14
  • Where: Plainfield Township Community Center, 15014 S. Des Plaines Street
• Bunco Party
  • What: An afternoon filled with four games of Bunco, lunch and prizes for game winners.
  • When: 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16
  • Where: Plainfield Township Community Center, 15014 S. Des Plaines Street
• Registration opens for summer camp, swim lessons and early bird season pool passes
  • What: Registration opens for various summer activities through the Plainfield Park District
  • When: Each starts at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 25
  • Where: Prairie Activity and Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road
