Fire District May 12th Regular Meeting Video
A brief meeting that ended with a respect filled thank you and farewell to Trustee Bennett
[Apology: There was a problem with my camcorder and before I caught it and fixed it, the first few minutes of this meeting went unrecorded. Not much was missed of substance, however: The recitation of the Pledge; the roll-call; my own public comment thanking the department for a very informative hosting of the most recent Chat with the Chiefs.—Vicky Polito]
Below are links to video recording of the Plainfield Fire Protection District regular monthly meeting of May 12th, 2015, totally less than 25 minutes. The regular business of the meeting prior to closed session was uneventful, however the board did set a special meeting for this Tuesday, May 19th at 6p at the PFPD HQ building for the swearing in of newly elected trustees Mark Reynolds and Tom Paul. Mr. Reynolds is currently on the board via an appointment to a vacancy and Mr. Paul is holding his first elected office.
I’d like to direct viewers to the part 2 video, wherein after the return from closed session, with no action to be taken, Chief Riddle gave a very nice overview of the career of Trustee Bennett and his service to the district since 1980. All those in the room expressed gratitude to Mr. Bennett for his work over the years.
