Fire District Oct 9th Special Meeting Video
Over 60 citizens attend and express support for Stratton, more answers may come after next meeting on Oct 15th

Below are links to video recording of the Plainfield Fire Protection District special meeting of October 9th, 2014, totally about 22 minutes of run-time. First, I apologize that a mistake I made means the first few moments of the meeting are not include, that part 1 picks up just as the attorney for the district is addressing the audience of 65-75 citizens.
The public portion of the meeting was taken up mostly by a brief statement from the attorney for the board of trustees followed by much public comment in support of Jon Stratton and against the board having placed him on administrative leave last week and against the manner in which that was done.
Following closed session, the board had no action items and directed the attorney to meet with the attorney of “the employee” and come back with an update during the next regularly scheduled board meeting. That meeting is on WEDNESDAY, Oct 15th, at 6p at the PFPD headquarters on 135th just east of Route 59. It is postponed by one day from its normal schedule this month.

Note that there is a moving and strong speech during that part 2 clip from a woman identified to me as Ginger D’Arcy. Her comment to the board, which they graciously allowed her to make since she arrived late, after public comment had closed, is worth the watching.
