Fire Reported At Caterpillar

EAST PEORIA, IL -- A fire broke out early Monday at Caterpillar's manufacturing facility in East Peoria.

The blaze began just before 8 a.m. at the campus' Building HH after a machine caught fire, the Peoria Journal Star reported. The building was briefly evacuated, and by 9:30 a.m., normal operations had resumed. No injuries were reported.

The East Peoria location was one of three searched by federal law enforcement earlier this month in a raid Caterpillar officials believe is linked to investigation a Swiss subsidiary. Caterpillar's headquarters in Peoria was also searched, along with a logistics facility in Morton.
