Flying Fox Conservation Fund Visits Montessori of Plainfield
The students got a hands-on animal experience
Scott and Christine from Flying Fox Conservation Fund visited the students at the Montessori of Plainfield yesterday. The students learned about an array of different animals and exciting facts about what each different animal eats, their sleeping patterns, and where they would be found in the wild.
Scott has 14 years of experience as a zoo keeper at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago and did 6 years of conversation work in Indonesia, while Christine has been with Flying Fox Conservation Fund for 17 years!
The Kids at the Montessori of Plainfield got to meet and greet with a Three Banded Armadillo, a Lesser Hedgehog Tenrec, a Kinkajou, a Children’s Python, a Straw Colored Fruit Bat, a Green Acari, a Woolly Opossum, and the guest of honor- Steve the Sloth!

ABOUT MONTESSORI OF PLAINFIELD
Montessori of Plainfield was founded in August of 1998 by Montessori trained teachers and sisters, Mari-Ann Unger and Linda Mora. The academic preschool and kindergarten is for children ages 3-6. Montessori of Plainfield is a member of the American Montessori Society. Teachers are CPR- and first aid-certified as well.
