Forest Preserve's 'Pop-Up Naturalist' program visits Turtle Lake
Learn all about birds with hands-on activities designed to engage, inspire and delight during this July 15 session in Plainfield.

If you're looking for some spontaneous summertime fun, plan on dropping by the Forest Preserve District of Will County's monthly "Pop-Up Naturalist" program for hands-on activities, interactive learning and giveaways.
The next installment of the summer series is set for noon-2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Lake Renwick Preserve – Turtle Lake Access in Plainfield. The program will focus on birds: Find out more about local bird populations, measure yourself against avian wingspans and learn how to fly!
The monthly "Pop-up Naturalist" program began in May and runs through September. Each session is held at a different preserve and features an interpretive naturalist who will offer activities for families with young children. These activities are designed to engage, inspire and delight.

The final two sessions will be held: Aug. 19 at Rock Run Preserve– Black Road Access in Joliet; and Sept. 16 at Riverview Farmstead Preserve in Naperville.
Registration is not required for this free, all-ages program.
