Friday’s Movie At Settler’s Park Canceled Due To Weather
It's the second time the showing of "The Bad Guys" was canceled due to inclement weather.
PLAINFIELD, IL — “The Bad Guys,” Friday night’s Movies in the Park screening, is no longer taking place, officials at the Plainfield Park District announced.
It’s the second time the screening was canceled due to inclement weather. “The Bad Guys” was originally scheduled to be shown at Settler’s Park but was rescheduled at the last minute to Friday. The announcement, posted on Facebook and the park district’s website, came about 6 hours before the planned 8:30 p.m. start time as a result of “heat and [a] forecast of inclement weather.”
Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories are in effect for most of the Chicago area until 9 p.m. Friday. Areas under these warnings and advisories could see heat index values up to 115 degrees, according to the weather service.
