The Friends of the Plainfield Public Library Introduce NEW Book Sale Sneak Peek & Silent Auction Event on August 24

The Friends of the Plainfield Public Library are excited to kick-off this year’s Annual Book Sale with their inaugural Sneak Peek & Silent Auction held Wednesday, August 24th from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM at the library. This premier event will allow ticket holders the first opportunity to shop the sale's large selection of books, movies and CDs, prior to the general public. Participants will also have the chance to partake in a silent auction which will include a number of unique and collectible items while enjoying light refreshments. Proceeds from the event will go toward helping fund the library’s many programs and events.

Tickets are $10 purchased in advance or $15 at the door the night of the event. Ticket order forms are available at the circulation desk. Tickets can be purchased with a credit/debit card, cash or check (made out to the Friends of the Plainfield Public Library). All mailed ticket orders must include the ticket order form and payment to be accepted, and should be addressed to the Plainfield Public Library with attention to the Friends (Plainfield Public Library, Attn: Friends of the Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., Plainfield, IL 60544). Ticket orders with payment can also be dropped off at the library’s circulation desk*.

The Annual Book Sale, open to the public, starts Thursday, August 25th at 5:00 PM and runs through Saturday, August 27th until 1:30 PM.
