Grande Park Elementary Hosts its Second Annual McTeacher's Night

Grande Park Elementary School students gave teachers and administrators an A-plus on their fundraising efforts.

Plainfield| Grande Park Elementary School students gave teachers and administrators an A-plus on their fundraising efforts.

Principal Sean Smith, teachers, and support staff from Grande Park Elementary School volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday, October 23rd at the Plainfield McDonald's located on Route 30, where they served students and their families in an annual fundraising event at McDonald's

Staff members Julie Jacobs and MacKenzie Bell sang and danced around the restaurant encouraging students to purchase a delicious apple pie while teachers tended the front counter, served ice cream and presented delicious food at the drive-thru.

The proceeds from the 275 apple pies sold will help support programs at the school. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were donated directly to the Grande Park School.

"With the help and generosity of Nick Kory, Grande Park Elementary will be able to increase student incentives and online, supplemental resources to support curriculum for all students."said Principal Sean Smith after a very successful event.

Nick Kory, Owner-Operator of the Plainfield McDonald's and the Kory Management team, were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
