Head-On Crash In Plainfield Township Sends 2 To Hospital: Sheriff

The sheriff's office is asking people who witnessed the July 5 crash near Hassert Boulevard and Book Road to come forward.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Two people were hospitalized after their cars collided head-on July 5 in Plainfield Township, officials said Thursday.

Deputies from the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded around 6 p.m. to the crash that happened in front of the Vulcan Bolingbrook Quarry. Reports indicate a 2020 Mercedes Benz SUV was driving west on Hassert Boulevard, approaching Book Road, when it crossed the median and hit a 2015 Toyota Camry head on, officials said.

Sherrif’s deputies and paramedics responded to the scene to investigate and take the driver of the Toyota and a young passenger to an area hospital. Officials did not provide information about their conditions.
