Health Inspection Report: Baby Back Blues

Is it clean enough for you?

PLAINFIELD, IL — You might love the food, but sometimes the restaurants you visit aren’t always the cleanest places. And sometimes they are. You can know for sure with a health inspection report.

The Will County Health Department visited Baby Back Blues Jan. 12 for a routine inspection. The restaurant received a sanitation score of 85 and a corrected score of 92 once immediate fixes were made. Items out of compliance were:

  • Cup used to scoop dry goods.
  • Employee food and drink on prep table.
  • No soap or paper towel at hand sink.
  • No dates on products in walk-in cooler.
  • Food stored on floor in walk-in cooler.

On July 6, the health department had an educational conference with three employees regarding: labeling, cooler temps, food protection, minimizing food handling, hygiene, test strips, hand washing, pest control, mop storage and hair restraints.
